rachel pruess

Chapter director

MSW, Loyola University Chicago

BA Psychology, Iowa State University

Rachel is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, 200 hour certified yoga teacher and the founder of Traverse. Most of her work has been with foster youth in residential treatment, community and home based settings, providing trauma based therapy and support to foster families in the home, schools, and court.

As a foster/adoptive parent herself, Rachel loves taking her teenage boys to explore new places.

jasamine Young-Paulhill

LEADER

MA URBAN EDUCATION POLICY, BROWN UNIVERSITY

BA Hispanic Studies & Creative Writing, Oberlin College

Deeply passionate about creating accessible educational opportunities for youth, Jasamine always approaches her work with the central question of "How can we serve young people better?" This has led her to work as an academic tutor, a social emotional learning coach, and a graduate student in urban education policy. She loves Chicago, her two cats, and baking sweet things.

Kate Danielson

LEADER

MS Education and Social Policy, Northwestern University

BA Education and English, North Park University

Kate's belief that “education is the great equalizer" has been the cornerstone of her life's work - first as a public school teacher, later running mentoring programs, and finally culminating in the founding of Foster Progress. She also loves her role as mom to four kids, two through foster care.

Adrianna Stasiuk

LEADER

Adrianna is a native Chicagoan who grew up camping every summer through her participation in the Ukrainian-American Scouting Organization, Plast. With a love for the outdoors and true belief that nature has healing properties, she is excited to join the FTE troupes and join hikes throughout the Midwest.

When she's not spending time outdoors with her dog, she is practicing yoga, going on long walks, and reading the newspaper (yes, the paper version) on her balcony with a cup of coffee.
